Custom Shape Luggage Tag in Soft PVC with Address Window

A luggage tag moulded in soft PVC to the outline of your artwork, rather than printed onto a standard rectangle. The face is built up in layers of coloured material, a PVC strap and buckle loops through the bag handle, and the reverse carries a clear window for a name and address card.

• Material: soft PVC, moulded to shape
• Size & format: outline cut to your artwork, with a PVC strap and buckle
• Detail: layered 2D relief with a raised keyline around the outline
• Reverse: clear window with a printed name, address and telephone card
• Minimum order: 500 pcs
• Lead time: 4 to 5 weeks from artwork approval, including mould production

The silhouette is the whole point of a luggage tag, and a rectangle wastes it. A tag does one job that matters: it lets someone pick their bag out of forty identical cases moving past on a belt. A printed rectangle fails at that, because at ten metres every rectangle looks the same and all you see is a colour. A tag moulded to an outline — a vehicle, a building, a mascot, a product shape — is recognisable as a shape before any detail resolves. If you are choosing between a cheaper flat tag and this, that is the difference you are paying for, and it is worth more on luggage than on almost any other gift.

The address window is a privacy decision, not a feature. An open card facing outward shows a home address to everyone who passes the bag, which is exactly what a lot of travellers do not want and exactly why some tags are left blank and useless. The sensible answer for a corporate gift is to supply the cards pre-printed with your office address and a work telephone number rather than leaving them empty: the recipient keeps their privacy, lost luggage still comes back, and your address rides along as brand exposure every trip. We can print the cards as part of the order.

The strap is where cheap tags fail. A soft PVC strap is pulled hard every time the bag is thrown, and the weak point is the buckle hole rather than the tag face. Ask for the strap thickness when you compare quotes — a thin strap on a thick tag looks fine in a photo and parts company with the bag somewhere over the South China Sea.

Heat in the hold and on the apron is the real test, not the handling. A bag sitting on the apron at KLIA before loading gets far hotter than anything the tag meets indoors, and soft PVC is a thermoplastic: the grade and plasticiser decide whether it stays flexible or goes tacky and picks up dirt at the strap fold. This is specified at the compound stage, not afterwards, so it is worth asking what grade a quote is based on rather than comparing only thickness. A tag that has gone sticky at the fold is the usual reason a set gets thrown away a year in.

The samples shown were produced to artwork supplied by the client. We mould what you own or are licensed to use, and we will ask for written confirmation of rights before cutting any tooling. We are not affiliated with, and do not represent, any of the brands shown.
