Custom T-Shirt Pricing Guide Malaysia 2026

The custom t-shirt is the most universal piece of branded apparel there is — event tees, campaign merch, casual uniforms, giveaways and team shirts. Everyone wears one, and a good cotton tee with a clean print gets worn long after the event. But cotton grade, GSM weight and print method swing the price more than people expect. Here’s what drives the cost of custom t-shirts in Malaysia, with indicative ringgit bands by type and quantity.

Quick orientation. All figures below are typical, indicative per-piece ranges in Malaysian ringgit for logo-printed t-shirts delivered in the Klang Valley — not a quotation. T-shirts are most economical from around 50 pieces upward.

What sets the price

1. Fabric grade. A basic cotton or poly-cotton tee is cheapest; premium combed/ringspun cotton feels softer and costs more.

2. GSM weight. A light 160gsm tee is economical; a heavier 180–220gsm feels premium and lasts longer.

3. Print method & colours. A 1–2 colour screen print is cheapest; many colours, full-colour DTF or large prints add cost.

Indicative price bands by type

T-shirt type Typical unit @ ~100 pcs Best for
Poly-cotton tee ~RM9 – RM16 Budget events, giveaways
Basic cotton tee (160gsm) ~RM10 – RM18 Events, campaigns, volume
Premium combed cotton ~RM15 – RM28 Merch, premium gifts
Long sleeve ~RM15 – RM26 Sun cover, fashion merch

Indicative ranges only, at ~100 pieces. Fabric grade, GSM and print method move them.

How quantity bends the price

Quantity Typical unit (basic cotton tee, 1-colour print)
~50 (guide MOQ) ~RM14 – RM22
100 ~RM10 – RM18
300 ~RM8 – RM15
500+ ~RM6 – RM12

Screen printing has a per-colour setup, so it gets cheaper per shirt at volume; for small runs or many colours, DTF can be better value.

In-house tip: for a tee people keep, a 180gsm combed-cotton shirt with a clean screen print feels far better than a thin basic; save poly-cotton for one-off giveaways. Our t-shirt buying guide covers fabrics and print methods.

Before you order

How much do custom t-shirts cost in Malaysia?

At ~100 pieces, expect roughly RM9–16 for a poly-cotton tee, RM10–18 for basic cotton, RM15–28 for premium combed cotton, and RM15–26 for long sleeve — indicative, with print colours affecting cost.

What’s the minimum order?

Around 50 pieces as a guide; larger runs lower the per-shirt cost, especially with screen printing.

Which print method is best?

Screen printing is best and cheapest for simple, high-volume designs; DTF or heat transfer suits small runs and full-colour artwork; embroidery suits a small premium logo.
